Back to Data Never Lies

What we've built with clients.

Real projects, described without client names — most of our clients prefer it that way. The systems, the problems and the work are exactly as they were.

An operational portal on top of NetSuite

The situation
A group of three fire & security companies ran its finance in NetSuite and almost everything else in spreadsheets around it — project tracking, costs, purchase orders, forecasts, handovers.
What we did
Our team — a senior full-stack engineer, an integration developer and a data engineer — joined the operations director's team and built an operational portal on top of NetSuite: project tracking, cost-to-complete and cost-value reconciliation, purchase orders, revenue forecast and handover. Built custom in the client's own Microsoft environment.
What changed
The first phase is live and used every day. Next come contracts, a data warehouse and AI agents — each as a new module, not a new system.

Microsoft AI, from the data up

The situation
A large UK manufacturer had Microsoft 365 and Copilot licences — and almost nobody used them.
What we did
A data engineer, an AI developer and an AI systems architect joined the client's IT team. Together we built the data infrastructure and ETL pipelines, a context layer over company data so AI answers from the company's own knowledge, and the first AI agents. Then we trained the business teams on Copilot.
What changed
The client's own team now runs the platform. We stay on to build new agents.

Three months to move off Power BI

The situation
A client's data team decided to replace its Power BI reports with custom-built dashboards — and didn't have the hands to do it alongside daily work.
What we did
A BI developer joined them for three months: mapped the existing models and measures, migrated the data logic, rebuilt the reports as custom dashboards and handed over the documentation.
What changed
The in-house team now runs and extends the new dashboards on its own.

B2B sales

Sales targets and enrichment on Business Central

The situation
A B2B company ran sales in Dynamics 365 Business Central with no good place for sales targets, and not enough customer data to act on.
What we did
We built a layer where managers set and track sales targets, an enrichment layer that adds the customer and market data the ERP doesn't hold, and detailed analytics that combine Business Central with the company's other systems.
What changed
Targets, enriched customer data and analytics now sit in one place next to the ERP, instead of in spreadsheets around it.

B2B sales

From meeting notes to proposals in Salesforce

The situation
A sales team on Salesforce needed targets and analytics — and spent too much time on admin after every call.
What we did
Next to goal-setting and reporting, we connected the team's meeting transcription tool so notes and next steps land in the CRM, and added document generation: commercial proposals drafted from the deal data.
What changed
Proposals are drafted in minutes from what's already in the CRM. We now build the same for Business Central.

Education · multi-site group

One QuickBooks, many schools

The situation
A group of schools kept each school's financial numbers separately, in different formats.
What we did
We built a layer where every school enters its financial data in one format, the group sees consolidated analytics, and the consolidated figures are loaded into a single QuickBooks.
What changed
The group sees all schools in one view, and the books are consolidated without manual re-keying.
  • Custom Operational Layer

Systems: QuickBooks · custom data-entry layer

Multi-brand company

Twenty brands, one set of books

The situation
A company with around twenty brands had each brand reporting slightly differently.
What we did
Every brand now enters its data into one database. A consolidation layer reconciles the differences and loads clean figures into QuickBooks. The same approach works on Sage.
What changed
One consistent set of numbers across all brands, consolidated automatically.
  • Custom Operational Layer

Systems: QuickBooks · Sage · central database

Consulting · Drilling & project-based services

Team utilisation where the ERP has no answer

The situation
Consulting firms and project-based drilling companies need to know who is working on what, and how much of their time is billable — and their HR and finance systems don't show it.
What we did
We build utilisation tracking on top of the systems they already have: planned vs actual, by person, project and client.
What changed
Managers see utilisation as it happens, not at month-end.

E-commerce

A CEO stuck in operations

The situation
The CEO of an e-commerce company was buried in day-to-day operations, with decisions stuck for weeks.
What we did
Three months of personal Data Therapy sessions: we cleared the decision backlog and built a decision-making process around his business. Then we automated it.
What changed
The process now runs with far less of his time.
  • Data Therapy

Systems: Decision log · automation

Construction · UK

A construction company with too many metrics

The situation
A large construction company had more metrics than anyone could use — and different teams counted them differently.
What we did
In group Data Therapy sessions we brought a best-practice metric set for their business. They confirmed which ones matter, and we helped the leadership team agree on definitions, check the numbers and own them.
What changed
One agreed set of metrics, one definition each, with an owner.

Systems: Metric definitions · leadership sessions

Analytics migration

From Tableau to custom dashboards

The situation
A client's reporting lived in Tableau, and they wanted to move to custom-built dashboards shaped around how their business actually works.
What we did
We migrated the reports from Tableau: carried over the data logic and metric definitions, rebuilt the views as custom dashboards and handed them over to the client's team.
What changed
The client runs reporting on dashboards built for its own process, without a Tableau licence in the middle.
  • Data & IT Team Extension

Systems: Tableau · custom dashboards

AI-driven analytics

Power BI you can talk to

The situation
A company had a working Power BI setup — and every new question still meant waiting for someone to build or change a report.
What we did
We moved their Power BI setup to an AI-driven one: connected an MCP server to their Power BI models, so reports can be created and edited by asking Claude or ChatGPT, on the same governed data and metrics.
What changed
Business users get new and updated reports by asking in plain language, instead of joining the queue for the BI team.
  • AI Adoption & Scalability

Systems: Power BI · MCP server · Claude · ChatGPT
